Fr. Cutcher is a graduate of Lehman Catholic High school in Sidney, Ohio. Upon graduation he entered the U.S. Navy where he studied electronics and nuclear power in preparation for his duty aboard the USS Michigan, a ballistic missile submarine stationed at Naval Base Kitsap, Bangor, Washington. During his time on the Michigan, Fr. Tony served as the ship’s Catholic lay minister. Upon his discharge from the Navy he relocated to Nashville, TN where he began a successful career in retail management. It was while he was in Nashville that he answered God’s call to the priesthood.
Fr. Tony would later graduate from the Pontifical College Josephinum in 1993 with a B.A. in Philosophy. He later graduated from the Athenaeum of Ohio/Mt. St. Mary’s Seminary with a MDiv. and was ordained for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati in 1999.
Fr. Tony was parochial vicar at St. Peter, Huber Heights, OH. He became pastor at Sts. Peter and Paul in 2002 and then pastor at Holy Rosary Church. in St. Marys, OH in 2004. A member of the Archdiocesan Presbyteral Council, Fr. Tony was elected to the Board of Directors of the National Federation of Priests’ Councils in 2010 and became president in 2012. He serves on the Board of Interfaith Worker Justice and the National Advisory Council of the St. John Vianney Center (www.sjvcenter.org). As NFPC president, Fr. Tony is a contributor to the USCCB committee on Clergy, Consecrated Life and Vocations.
