Fr. Luke Fletcher grew up in small town Indiana. Raised nominally Catholic, he experienced a profound conversion while at a rock concert during his freshman year at Ball State U. He transferred to Franciscan University of Steubenville. Upon graduating from Franciscan University in 1996, he joined the Community of Franciscan Friars of the Renewal in the Bronx. The friars live a radical life concentrated on prayer, fraternity, hands on work with the poor and the new evangelization. Fr. Luke was ordained to the priesthood in 2003. He has served as vocation director, postulant director, and presently as director of priestly studies. Fr. Luke gives retreats and hosts a YouTube series called “The Faith Side.”

Hi, Father Luke. Sitting here watching Fr. Apostoli on Sunday Night Prime and decided to try to find you again. You’ve been in my prayers and fond memories since our shared trip to the Holy Land in 2014 – a life-changing event which has never left me. I am still so grateful for you spiritual direction. The greatest thing is that last October, I made my first vows as a Lay Missionary of Charity, a great blessing in my life. That’s just one affirmation of the fruits of your work through the Spirit. Thank you; may Jesus and his sweet mother continue to shower their blessings on you and your work for them. Ann Dwyer
