Fr. Bryan Jerabek, J.C.L., is Administrator of St. Barnabas and Holy Rosary Parishes in Birmingham, Alabama, with responsibilities for weekly Spanish Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and duties also in the Diocesan Marriage Tribunal. He maintains a personal blog at FatherJerabek.com and regularly retweets things that interest him on his Twitter account. He recently completed his J.C.L. (Licentiate in Canon Law) at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome, Italy. Having grown up in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, where much of his family remains, he moved down south, to Birmingham, as a young man looking to advance in a career in banking. Shortly after arriving in Birmingham he “reverted” to his baptismal faith and became involved in a local parish, beginning to sense also a vocation to the priesthood. He was ordained in June 2008 following seminary studies at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Fr. Jerabek enjoys traveling, especially to see and photograph historic churches and religious monuments. He also is always looking forward to the next trip home to see his niece and nephews.
