Father Andrew Hofer, O.P., grew up as the youngest of ten children on a farm in southeast Kansas. He entered the U.S. Eastern Dominican Province of St. Joseph and was ordained to the priesthood in 2002. After parish work in Rhode Island, missionary service in Kenya, and a doctorate at the University of Notre Dame, he serves at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, DC., where he is presently the Master of Students and Assistant Professor of Patristics on the Pontifical Faculty. He is the author of Christ in the Life and Teaching of Gregory of Nazianzus (Oxford University Press, 2013) and articles in such journals as Augustinianum, Vigiliae Christianae, The Thomist, International Journal of Systematic Theology, Pro Ecclesia, Angelicum, and Nova et Vetera. He is very grateful for his vocation to be a Dominican priest.

"For me, it is a great joy to be together with priests." -Pope Benedict XVI
