Fr. Patrick Bradford grew up in a small town in New Zealand called Takapau, where his parents were the farm managers for the monks of a Cistercian monastery. These early years established the beginning of his vocational calling through the kindness and holiness of the priests and brothers. After attending Francis Douglas Memorial College, a high school run by the De La Salle Brothers, he completed a Bachelor of Commerce from Victoria University in Wellington. In 2006, he moved to Melbourne, Australia and began working in the field of accounting. His decision to enter the seminary around the time of World Youth Day Sydney in 2008 was prompted by a priest who said that priesthood was “the greatest gift I could ever imagine receiving.” Fr. Patrick was ordained a deacon in September 2014 at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in Melbourne and he looks forward to priestly ordination later this year.

"You are priests, not social or political leaders." -St. John Paul II
