Deacon Kyle Metzger is a transitional deacon of the Diocese of Fargo, North Dakota. Before entering seminary, he taught middle school for six years. In seventh grade, he began thinking about a vocation to the priesthood and through the guidance of his high school teacher, decided to enter seminary after graduation. After minor seminary, Deacon Kyle pursued a career in education, first teaching middle school in Phoenix, AZ and then returned to the Midwest to teach in Shakopee, MN. While finishing his Master’s degree in education at the University of St. Thomas, he decided to return to seminary. Deacon Kyle says, “Men who want to be priests truly love life.” He will be ordained a priest in June, 2015.
