Prayer to the Holy Family for Vocations

Oración a la Sagrada Familia para Vocaciones

O Holy Family of Nazareth, community of love of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, model and ideal of every Christian family, to you we entrust our families.

Open the heart of every family to the faith, to welcoming the word of God, to Christian witness, so that it may become a source of new and holy vocations.

Touch the hearts of parents, so that with prompt charity, wise care, and loving devotion they may be for their sons and daughters sure guides towards spiritual and eternal values.

Stir up in the hearts of young people a right conscience and a free will, so that growing in “wisdom, age and grace,” they might welcome generously the gift of a divine vocation.

Holy Family of Nazareth, grant that all of us, contemplating and imitating the assiduous prayer, generous obedience, dignified poverty and virginal purity lived out in your midst, might set about fulfilling the will of God and accompanying with far-sighted sensitivity those among us who are called to follow more closely the Lord Jesus, who “has given himself for us” (cf. Gal 2:20).

¡Oh, Sagrada Familia de Nazaret!,  comunidad de amor de Jesús, María y José,  modelo e ideal de toda familia cristiana,  a ti confiamos nuestras familias.

Abre el corazón de cada hogar a la fe,  a la acogida de la palabra de Dios,  al testimonio cristiano,  para que llegue a ser manantial  de nuevas y santas vocaciones.

Dispón el corazón de los padres  para que, con caridad solícita,  atención prudente y piedad amorosa,  sean para sus hijos guías seguros  hacia los bienes espirituales y eternos.

Suscita en el alma de los jóvenes  una conciencia recta y una voluntad libre,  para que, creciendo en sabiduría, edad y gracia,  acojan generosamente el don de la vocación divina.

Sagrada Familia de Nazaret,  haz que todos nosotros,  contemplando e imitando la oración asidua,  la obediencia generosa, la pobreza digna  y la pureza virginal vividas en ti,  nos dispongamos a cumplir la voluntad de Dios,  y a acompañar con prudente delicadeza  a cuantos de entre nosotros  sean llamados a seguir más de cerca al Señor Jesús,  que por nosotros “se entregó a sí mismo” (cf. Ga 2, 20).
